Exclusive Interview: The truth about Jennifer Eliogu's marriage

Jennifer Eliogu is a delectable actress that sparkles on and off the screen.  Busty, gorgeous and gifted, multi-talented Eliogu, who experienced a stellar rise to stardom via acting, is one actress who has remained relevant in the make-believe world for over 16 years and still counting.
Today, her tentacles cut across acting, producing, script writing, singing, motivational speaking, events anchoring alongside her Non Governmental Organisation’s activities. However, despite wearing an ever-cheerful mien, Eliogu is a woman with ‘a lot’ on her heart. The Anambra State-born mother of two, is sad and sulking for being perpetually made a subject of wicked gossips and unfounded rumours.
In fact, her alleged troubled marriage is just one of the many scars that have consistently made her a hot subject on pages of newspapers and social media platforms. In a recent enthralling encounter, the star actress of numerous hit flicks, pours out her emotion and bottled up anger to Entertainment Express.
“The truth is that when I got married, I didn’t call anybody; I didn’t tell the world. I only invited a few friends who came to witness the wedding. I will not dignify people by running to press to respond to all that are said about me. A lot of things are being said about me- some true, some false. If I haven’t been in the habit of debunking everything said about me, why now? People are free to insinuate and speculate, but the truth remains the truth, while lies remain lies”, she fumes.
Eliogu painstakingly speaks for the first time- on the many falsehoods woven around her person, especially the trending marriage break up, among other hot issues. Enjoy it.
Recently, you celebrated your birthday with the less privileged members of the society; how did it go and why the choice of the less privileged?
It went well. I’ve been doing this for the past three years, that’s since 2009.  It’s part of what my NGO-Initiative for Development, Empowerment and Absolute Stability-does. I felt that rather than have a party and pop Champagnes, giving to those who already have, why don’t I reach out to the less privileged ones. So every year, my NGO comes up with something different. Last year, we took the party to the prison-Kirikiri Maximum Prisons-where we fed about 200 female inmates. The essence is to interact with them and make them feel that the worst has not happened. So this year, we decided to parley with the beggars and physically challenged people on the streets, including motherless babies’ homes. It was a beautiful experience; I feel fulfilled doing that. I’m not doing it because NGOs are in vogue or because I need to make a name for myself- of course I already have a name.

Exclusive Interview with Ayo, Project fame west Africa season 5 winner

He won a music contest at the biggest stage: The MTN Project Fame Season Five. Suddenly Ayobami Ayoola Ayolola popularly known as A-Why-Oh becomes a household name, what with the talent he demonstrated and the enviable prizes he clinched as the winner of the first-rate reality music show. However, not many people are aware that this same music champ has a backstory of four failed attempts (at getting on this MTN-sponsored reality music competition that he eventually won), in fact, five failures, if you count his short-lived foray into another topnotch music talent hunt, The Nigerian Idol, where he was successful to be among the finalists only to become the first evictee.
In this encounter, the 25-year-old made a clean breast of how his talent was nurtured by his father; he talked about his musical coming of age and he also dropped a hint about his in-the-making songs which he promised would be a delightful surprise for his growing fans. Excerpts.

Tell us about yourself?
My name is Ayobami Ayoola Ayolola. People call me AYO (A-Why-Oh). I’m a Biochemistry graduate of Covenant University; the first child of five children from a Christian home. Our father is a Pastor.

"I think I’m the best husband in the world" - Mr. Ibu

In this no-holds-barred and exclusive encounter, Mr. Ibu, for the first time revealed the agonies he went through in the hands of his ex wife, whom he alleged made several attempts on his life and that of his immediate family.
“My ex wife and her cohorts planned and kidnapped my wife and child; they were later released after 10 days... That child later died a year after through poisoning. The fact later came out, but I don’t want to act on it now; I don’t want to massacre anybody…”, he told Entertainment Express.
The humour merchant and star of numerous blockbusters in this riveting chat also spoke extensively on other germane issues, including his battle with poverty, encounter with homosexuals, women and more. The interview, refreshing and fascinating, is a bird’s eye view and also a close up on Mr. Ibu’s world.
Let’s start with your recent trip to the US, what took you there?
Over the period, I was busy with a preparation for my American trip. I went there (US) for a movie which is a collaboration between Nollywood and Hollywood production. It’s a production that belongs to Nollywood. Basically, I’m the man at the helm of the production; I’ll play the lead role for the work. For the first time some celebrated Hollywood actors will be coming to Nigeria to make a movie. The title of the movie is Ibu Runs Mad in America. All through the movie I will be playing the role of a mad man- both the Nigerian and American parts of it.
You are used to playing the roles of an imbecile and sometimes a mad man; what efforts do you always make to fit into such characters.
The issue is that once you are a good actor, you can go ahead and interpret any character no matter how tedious. The role of an imbecile which I have played in the past in a movie entitled Agony is far different from the role of a mad man. Apart from bringing in my ingenuity as an actor to interpret any role, I also ask God for idea=s to creatively interpret it beyond the ordinary.

I’m Shooting the Video of My Songs… You Can’t Stop Me - Exclusive Interview with Tonto Dikeh

What prompted you into singing?
I love music and I wanted to do my own thing, to contribute my own music.
You got monstrous negative response to both singles. How did feel with all the attacks?
I listened to my songs over and over again and I told myself I did well. In all I see only the positivity in it,I made History. Peoples opinion of how my music was has further strengthened my belief that dreams die when you let the next man’s opinion get to you and I am using now to pass a message to everyone out there, if you can just do it. Don’t let anyone’s opinion kill whatever dream you have or try to stop you from taking the next step.
You tweeted that you were not giving up. Does that mean you will become actively involved in music?
I love my acting career and I don’t see myself jumping into full time music. I am however shooting the musical video of my songs,I will not let the hating stop me.
You released your song on Wednesday October 17, 2012 and two days later despite the negativity your song had hit 5.2 million download on the internet. How do you feel?
The most unanticipated and hated song became the most talked about, most controversial, most downloaded and of course the most listened song. I feel great, no regrets.!
We look forward to the musical videos, till then I am sure comedians will soon add Your song jokes to their shows.
Hopefully. Thank you and here’s a loud shout out and thank you to everyone who stood up for me.
