Joseph Benjamin, Van Vicker Battle For Afro Hollywood Awards


 Organizers of the African Film Awards aka the Afro Hollywood Awards have announced the nominees for the 17th edition of the awards.
The likes of Nigerian actors Nonso Diobi, Yemi Blaq, Tonto Dike, Chika Ike and Omoni Oboli have been placed in the ‘Best Actor and Actress’ categories.
The  coveted prize is however the ‘African Actor of the Year’ which fields Nigerian actor Joseph Benjamin, Ghana’s Van Vicker and South African Jafta Mamabolo as nominees.
‘The awards ceremony will attract British African stars from film & television, British producers seeking collaboration with Nollywood practitioners and high net worth British Africans seeking to invest in Africa’s leading film industry’, Prince Mike Abiola, Chairman of the awards committee said.
The awards Awards ceremony will hold on Saturday, November 3 at Stratford Town Hall, 29 Broadway, Stratford, London. However, winners in each award category, who will be attending the prestigious annual awards in London, will be announced at a special ceremony on Wednesday 10th October in Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria.

Saka Returns to Secondary School


Scholar comedian, Afeez Oyetoro, popularly called Saka, recently had an opportunity to return to his alma mater, Koso Community Secondary School, Iseyin, Oyo State. He did not go there to shoot a film. It was courtesy of Celebrity School Uniform Groove, which takes A-List award winning entertainers.
