President GEJ weeps at the Dana Air crash site

Memories are meant to be kept in the heart, but some die with time, while some live forever. 3rd June, 2012 is a day that Nigerians will never forget. The Dana Air plane crash that took the lives of over a hundred and fifty three people remains a very thick memory. The president of the federal republic of Nigeria,President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan on getting to the plane crash site, could not bear it, but shed tears seeing the lives of different individuals, both adults and children burnt beyond recognition.

It was a day of joy for U.S vice-president, Joe Biden, and family as his 30-year-old daughter, Ashley got married to Howard David Krein.

The wedding was held on Saturday, June 2, 2012, at St. Joseph on the Brandywine Catholic Church in Delaware, followed by a reception at the Bidens’ residence in Greenville, with only 200 guests in attendance, most of whom were close family and friends of the couple.

The groom is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon in Philadelphia, while the bride works as a social worker for the Delaware Department of Services for Children,

The producer of the movie ‘Last Flight to Abuja’ dedicates the UK Premiere to DANA crash victims

Nollywood producer Obi Emelonye will premiere his long awaited aviation movie on Friday, June 8, 2012, ‘Last Flight to Abuja‘at the proxy cinema in London, starring Stars like Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, Hakeem Kae-Kazim, and Jim Iyke.
The concept of the movie was gotten from the series of plane crash tragedies that rocked the Nigerian aviation sector in 2006.
According to the organisers, ‘It is quite unfortunate that two plane crash occurred before the premiere of the movie. The movie is dedicated to all who lost their lives in the two ill fated crashes that involved Allied Air and Dana Air on Sunday, June 3 in Accra and Lagos respectively‘.

The movie is to express our solidarity with the feelings of everyone affected by both tragic events, especially those who have lost their loved ones. A minute’s silence will be observed before the film screens, and the movie will be used as a advocacy tool to highlight the issues of air safety in Nigeria and Africa at large‘.
