Gospel singer Kefee is planning a color riot party. The Color Block Party will hold on 29th June at her Branama Restaurant in Mende, Maryland, Lagos. Guests are expected to come in their best colour riot outfits and the best outfit gets a prize. The party is open to all..

The sixth edition of the LoudNProudLive series took place on Saturday June 16, 2012, and was headlined by award-winning international musician Nneka.

Nneka performed tracks from her fourth album Soul is Heavy at the Wheatbaker Boutique Hotel in Ikoyi, Lagos, after a short art exhibition courtesy of Nike Art Gallery. This was followed by an album launch party at Number 10 night club.

The event was attended by Nigerian entertainers like 2face, D’banj, and Ikechukwu, Olisa Adibua, as well as other personalities including Yvonne ‘Vixen’ Ekwere, Alexander Amosu, Big Brother Stargame contestants Chris and Ola, Chelsea Danjuma, and others.

‘Two Brides and a Baby’ now on DVD

The 2011 hit movie  ‘Two Brides and a Baby’ is now out on DVD.

The award winning movie, and one of the most viewed in cinemas across Nigeria has now been released into the market for home entertainment. The movie starred actors like Stella Damasus, Kalu Ikeagwu, Blessing Egbe, Chelsea Eze, O.C Ukeje, Keira Hewatch and more.

‘Two Brides and a Baby’ tells the story of Keche and Bankole, who seem to have a perfect union. They plan a very beautiful wedding and hope for a blissful life thereafter, until the unexpected happens. Now they must fight for what they believe in or forever lose their hope of a happy life together.

Jay Z sued for copyright infringement and invasion of property

Rapper Jay Z is being sued sued over his 2010 best-seller ‘Decoded’ by a writer who claims his work was illegally used in the book.

According to the lawsuit, filed on June 13, Patrick White claims that portions of Jay Z’s book were taken from his laptop, which was stolen in 2009.

‘In 2009, my personal computer was compromised, resulting in my personal work to be used in Jay-Z’s book Decoded which was released in 2010’  White claims.

White is suing for copyright infringement and invasion of property.

‘The book contains various expressions/colours/phrases, which correlates to my work. After contacting or attempting to contact the co-author, I got no reply’, he added.

Authors Dream Hampton and Random House who are co-authors of the book are also named in the hand-written lawsuit.

Neither Jay Z nor his management have made a statement concerning the lawsuit.

DJ Zeez returns with a record label

DJ Zeez has been away for sometime, but after solving record label issues, he is now ready to take the bold step.

In a recent interview with Adesope Olajide of Factory 78, Zeez reveals he has now set up his own record label, Vanilla Records. According to Zeez, the label will cover his music and management.

‘God is the boss, Vanilla has always been something that has been on my mind for some time now‘ Zeez explained.

Shutting the Lagos third mainland bridge for four months

 

According to sources, the third mainland bridge will be closed for some time, to enable the government carry out some maintainance works on the bridge. This is not going to be funny for Lagosians!!!
