Dakore Akande comes back to Acting in Ashionye's movie

            

The talented actress who hasn't featured in any movie since her marriage in 2011 has finally returned to acting. Dakore Akande will feature in a new movie written and produced by singer/actress Ashionye Michelle Raccah titled 'Journey to Self'.


The movie also features Nse Ikpe-Etim, Ashionye Michelle Raccah, Katherine Obiang Edoho and Tosin Sido in lead roles. Other features include Carol King, Kalu Ikeagwu, Femi Brainard, Femi Jacobs and Chris Attoh, with the directorial talents of Tope Oshin Ogun.

'Journey to Self' was 13months in the making from inception. It is an intense story of friendship, sacrifice, empowerment and self-respect'. It is about four friends, Nse (Nse Ikpe-Etim), Regina (Ashionye Michelle Raccah), Alex (Dakore Akande) and Rume (Katherine Obiang Edoho) who lose a mutual childhood friend, Uche (Tosin Sido).


Uche speaks through a series of letters stirring her friends to a journey of self discovery... a 'Journey to Self'.

Two months ago, BN exclusively showed you behind the scenes photos of one of 2012′s anticipated flick“Single and Married” directed by Pascal Amanfo (4 Play and 4 Play Reloaded), with a line-up of Ghana’s most wanted entertainers including Yvonne Nelson, Chris Attoh, Nadia Buari, Afro neo-soul singer Efya, hip life rapper Tiffany, Kofi Adjorlolo, Kweku Elliot, Eddie Watson and Anita Erskine and Nigerian TV Presenter turned actress Tana Adelana. Oliver Twist music super star D’banjalso paid everyone a surprise visit on set and took photos with all.

Although no official synopsis has been made available online, here’s what we got from the trailer. The movie centers around 3 male friends, their sex lives, being single or married and all the in-betweens – the drama, the intrigue and the dirty little secrets.

Waje comes again with 'I Wish'

Waje is nothing short of a breath of fresh air whenever she blows us away with her vocal prowess. On her new single, “I Wish”, the vocal powerhouse takes a different route which, though its far from her comfort zone, appears to be very at home for her.
