EME boys Skales and Banky watch Wizkid recieve his MOBO Award

Wiskid won the MOBO Award for the ‘Best African Act’ back in October 2011, with people like the Afrobeat singer Seun Kuti and African pop heavyweight D’banj in his category, but he wasnt present to receive the plaque.

He finally did so a few days back while performing on stage at the HMV Hammersmith Apollo, UK in the presence of his EME crew Banky W and Skales and of course the thousands of fans who came to watch him perform…

Kidnapped footballer Christian Obodo rescued

Super Eagles footballer, Christian Obodo was abducted for more than 24 hours, and has been rescued from the hands of his kidnappers, who demanded a ransom of N27.5m for his release. The kidnappers were also arrested having being tracked from where he was kidnapped on June 9 in Effurun, Warri to a forest 1 hour 30 minutes away.

Reports to Sahara Reporters from Delta from State police command ASP Charles Mouka said that Obodo was rescued by officers of the Nigeria Police Force in Emevor, an Isokoland township lying between Ughelli and Oleh area of Delta State.

Delta state Commissioner of Information, Chika Ogeah described the successful rescue and arrest of five kidnappers as a ‘purely police operation’. Ogeah has promised that Obodo will be ‘fully protected by the State Government’ before he leaves Nigeria for his club base in Europe.

D’banj, Tonto Dikeh and Basorge Tariah Share the same birthdate

 

Good to hear that Nigerian artiste, D'banj, contoversial actress Tonto Dike, and comedian Basorge Tariah share the same birthdate. The 9th of June was a big day for these three, as they added a year to their ages.
