EKO HOTEL, RADISSON BLU, ORIENTAL, THE WHEATBAKER, OTHERS FOR CLUB, BAR AND RESTAURANT AWARDS


Organisers of the CBR Awards have revealed the nominees for the maiden edition of the awards ceremony.
The announcement was made during the press conference held on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at the Avenue Suites, Victoria Island in Lagos.
Scott Taylor, the director of the event confirmed that the awards were created to recognise the clubs, bars, restaurants, reward and appreciate them. It will be an annual event.
Taylor added that the general public can start voting for their favourite nominees from Friday, September 14, 2012. Voting closes on November 1, 2012.
The ceremony will hold in December.

Tiwa Savage was a recent guest on Factory 78. The MAVIN Records first lady got talking about her style of music, stage craft amongst other things.
She talked about how the Nigerian musicians altered their style to fit the European market. ‘Nigerian music has so much rhythm and so much soul, we just need to stay true to ourselves. I think sometimes when we cross over, we just change and blend to other cultures but reggae music doesn’t do that and we still accept it.
The talented singer is currently working on releasing her long-awaited debut ‘Tiwa O ni Baje‘ slated for later this year.

US disc jockey DJ Ron G and record label Diamond Soul Visions with the goal of making history on the US music industry, have put together their first ever all round African music mixtape titled ‘United States Of Blood Diamonds‘.
The tape features the likes of Nigerian artistes M.I, Ice Prince, BrymO, Yung6ix, Ghanaian flipper Sarkodie, Kenyan pop group Camp Mulla and many other more.

 Last week was fun for Nigerian singer Susan ‘Goldie’ Harvey – she went dress hunting and you know ladies love shopping!
Goldie was uber excited about her new wears and decided to share the experience with her fans on micro-blogging site Twitter.
I then decided to go wardrobe overhauling… I literally flipped my whole look and went dress hunting‘, Goldie says.
At least, anything to get her mind off Prezzo.
