Global recording company Sony Music Entertainment is proud to announce the signing of Nigerian megastar D’Banj to its RCA Africa label. The breakthrough deal also includes a multi-album, worldwide exclusive contract with emerging Nigerian singer-songwriter star Kayswitch and a strategic partnership with D’Banj’s Nigerian record label DB Records, who’s catalog includes artists and producers such as J.Sol, Jay Sleek and DeeVee.

P'square had a one in town concert on Saturday December 1st at the Independence Square in Accra, Ghana, with over 40,000 people in attendance.

Super-Stars play for life ..... Ex-super Eagles' players VS Entertainers

The first of December was a day for world-wide campaign against HIV/AIDS stigmatization. In Lagos the campaign  was given a different shape as super-stars in the entertainment and sports world gathered together at the Campos Mini Stadium in Lagos for a football match. The football match was between the ex-super eagles stars and the the entertainment (Music and Movie) stars in Nigeria. We had celebrities like Kano Nwankwo, Jay Jay Okocha, Nonso Diobi, M.I, Fred Amata, Segun Arinze, Dr. Sid, Saka, John  Njama, and a whole lot of others participate on that field. And guess who won??? Obviously, the Eagles. It was a 9-3 victory. Atleast our actors and singers do not just know how to act and sing, they can also score goals in a football match, and even compete with the likes of Jay-Jay Okocha and Kano Nwankwo. Sincerely, it was fun!

Monalisa Chinda's ex-husband's second marriage crashes

  

 Monalisa Chinda's ex husband remarried in January 2011 less than two years after his marriage to the actress ended due to accusations of infidelity and domestic abuse. Dejo married Louisiana - US based Lamide Richards less than a year after he met her while she was on vacation in Nigeria. Less than two years later, Lamide's friends say she's separated from Dejo and is planning to officially divorce him soon.

This would be Dejo's 3rd failed marriage as it was reported a few years back that he was married for six months before marrying Monalisa Chinda in 2004.

Ini Edo speaks on divorce rumour, and N600m largesse

Top Nollywood actress, Ini Edo-Ehiagwina, is currently enmeshed in controversies about her marriage and an alleged largesse from the Akwa Ibom State governor Godswill Akpabio.

Not mincing words and obviously angry, the actress spat fire at those paddling untrue stories about her.

She said, “As a rule, I don’t reply every talk or report about me, but these recent ones are crazy and baseless. I don’t know where they got their information that my state governor offered me N600m to build an art or film academy in Uyo.

“This is just another work of mischief makers, who keep troubling celebrities. To put the records straight, my state governor has not offered me such money to build a film academy in Uyo (the Akwa Ibom State capital), as was falsely reported.

“As for the other wicked rumours that I’ve been divorced by my United States–based husband, Phillip Ehiagwina, that is just another lie that can only come from professional happy home breakers. No fight or separation ever happened. We are still together, doing great things as husband and wife.”

Today (November 16), is the birthday of star actress, Oge Okoye-Duru. She was born in London, and she is the only child of late Mazi Okoye, and Lolo Okoye. She is from Nnewi in Anambra State (Nigeria). She had her early education partly in London and at University Primary School, Enugu (Nigeria). She had her secondary school education at Holy Rosary College, Enugu. She attended Nnamdi Azikwe University, Awka, from where she graduated with a degree in Theatre Arts. She is a wife, and a mother.

She started acting professionally in 2001, and since then she has gone on to establish herself as one of the leading actresses in Nollywood, and has featured in over a hundred movies in Nollywoood.

She celebrates her birthday this evening at Villa Angelia, #2 Okunola Martin, off Okotie Eboh, off Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, Lagos by 7pm.

Veteran Actor Pete Eneh passes on.... Rest in peace!

                                          

Veteran actor Pete Eneh has passed on. He died at Parklane Hospital, Enugu after  one of his legs was amputated on the 24th of October at the same hospital due to some serious infection he got  aftersustaining an injury that refused to heal because of  his diabetic condition.                                

Rest in peace Sir. We will surely miss you!

The Who Wants To Be A Millionaire host recently introduced Sandra Onyenaucheya as his wife. Not girlfriend or fiancee, as wife. He told guests at the unveiling of the new Heineken bottle which held at the Federal Palace hotel some days back, that he came to the event with his wife, Sandra, who was wearing a wedding band.
  
The couple went public last year after Frank Edoho ended his marriage with mother of his three children, TV Presenter, Katherine Edoho. Sandra, a mother of one, moved into Frank's VGC home sometime last year and there were reports that they planned to marry soon. Guess the deed has been done! Congrats to them!
