Celebrated Nollywood actor, Stephanie Okereke Linus, is continuing in her ambitious pursuits as she launches her latest effort – her personal blog site called “Stephanie Daily”! BEHIND THE SCENES OF HEROES & ZEROS
Nigerian producers and directors are truly making us proud both locally and internationally by always trying to create intriguing and suspense filled movies with story lines that keep you on the edge as well as also inspiring actors and actress to deliver their very best.
One director that recently caught our eyes is Niji Akanni, the award winning Nigerian film writer/director known for some of his famous works including Dangerous Twins, Playing Games and Narrow Path, has released another intriguing movie “Heroes and Zeros” about a man who is obsessed with a an actress and will do anything and everything to have her. The movie stars some of the biggest names in the African film industry including Nadia Buari, Olu Jacobs, Norbert Young, Tina Mba, Gabriel Afolayan, Akin Lewis and Bimbo Manuel.
The Official Movie Synopsis
The movie Heroes and Zeros tell the story of the destructive pursuance of Tonia (Nadia Buari) by Amos Fele (Bimbo Manuel). Amos was a wealthy director in the Nigerian film industry, now he lives in a dilapidated flat, doing occasional low paying TV commercials for nameless products. He’s a daily comic relief on the local soccer practice pitch – because he is 45 years old – and he nurses a new, insane dream of making it into the dollar-soaked world of international soccer. His unhappy marriage to Tinuke (Tina Mba), a junior banker, is unfortunately crumbling, especially after the death of their only child.

A boost to his sagging spirit comes when a big budget French-Nigerian film company appoints him as director. Shortly after, he is a celebrated genius by the press and top actors and producers begin to call him up for projects. To his wife’s distress, Amos re-establishes his wane reputation as a womanizer and becomes obsessed with Tonia, a beautiful actress of the Nigerian-French film project. Ignoring repeated warnings by his best friend Nnamdi (Norbert Young), a psychology professor, Amos pursues his obsession with Tonia to his tragic end.
What will happen next? We’ll just have to wait and find out, when the movie premieres on Friday 31st August 2012 at the Silverbird Galleria, till then, view the behind the scenes shots and official trailer.

OMOTOLA shoots a REALITY SHOW ‘THE REAL OMOTOLA’
Fans of Nollywood diva Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde can now get up close and personal with the actress as she gets ready to share her private parts with followers.
On an upcoming reality show ‘The Real Omotola’, the celebrated actress will let us into her world as a wife, mum of four children and her philanthropist.
We’re told shooting has already begun, as the actress travels through Europe.
‘The Real Omotola’ will debut on TV in late 2012.
PREZZO IN NIGERIa, says "i came to see goldie"
The BBA Kenyan Rep Prezzo and the most controversial of all the contestants in the house came into the country a few days ago. A press conference was held today, Wednesday 22nd August 2012 at "The Place" (45 Issac John street) in GRA, Ikeja.
He confirmed his ‘huge interest’ in Nigerian singer, Goldie.
The 34-year-old, decked in a flowing cream coloured agbada regalia, made this known during a media parley held for him today, Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at The Place, in Ikeja, Lagos. He stated his interest in the singer asking that he be forgiven for ‘mistreating’ her, blaming it on the feeling of paranoia that engulfed him while in the house.
According to him, ‘I went into the house with the mind to make my country proud and make the money and along the line, I developed feelings for Goldie and I still do up till now as I speak‘.
Asked about the status of his relationship with Goldie, he stated that he is yet to see her and that is his reason for coming to Nigeria.
‘I haven’t spoken to Goldie yet and that’s why I am actually here’.
Prezzo, with real names Jackson Makini came second in the show and as a ONEcampaign ambassador, will be performing alongside Jay Z in a show to hold in U.S later in the month.

P'SQUARE AND MAY D PART WAYS
What seemed like a perfect union with bright promise has come to an end,
Psquare’s label, Square Records have dropped their first signing, Akinmayokun Awodumila, aka May D.
A press statement from Square Records boss Jude Okoye sent to the editors of the Nigerian Entertainment today, Tuesday, August 21, 2012, reads:
I, JUDE ‘ENGEES’ OKOYE of Square Records Limited and Northside Entertainment Limited hereby announces to the general public that Mr. Akinmayokun Awodumila, otherwise known as MAY D is no longer an artiste under the aforementioned outfits due to irreconcilable differences. We at Northside and Square records wish him all the best in his career and life.
Rumours of the breakup had surfaced earlier, but NET investigations led nowhere.
While Psquare’s publicist told us then that he wasn’t aware of any breakup, May D laughed it off as ‘Rumour things‘ when our reporter contacted him. Before we could probe further, he switched off his mobile phone.
A close friend of May D however tells us that the singer has been unhappy at Square records for many months. ‘He says they aren’t doing much for his career, May D wants to spend big like Davido and co. He’s not happy at all as he [is] most times broke.‘
May D is usually seen driving the twins Hummer H2 around town. ‘Just because he’s riding the Hummer doesn’t mean he’s happy o‘ the source offered.
Before signing with Psquare in 2011, MayD was with rapper Alaye’s Ice Cream Records. We’re told Alaye was impressed with May D’s performance on rapper Kel’s ‘Too fine’ and asked him to join his label.
‘But after he turned to Alaye’s personal driver, he got tired and looked elsewhere, Psquare were there and they struck the deal‘, another friend of the singer tells NET.
A graduate of the University of Lagos, May D featured on two singles off their fifth album ‘Invasion‘ one of which was the hit single ‘Chop my money,‘ which had a killer remix and video featuring Akon.
Square Records also shot two videos for May D – ‘Soundtrack’ and ‘Ile Ijo’ which were both directed by Clarence Peters.

PREZZO APOLOGISES TO NIGERIANS

Eleven days after the Big Brother Stargame show ended, the drama is yet to end as former housemates continue to banter at each other.
The most recent is Prezo’s diss for ex-girlfriend, Goldie. He recently expressed concern at the amount of criticism his relationship with Goldie fetched him, blaming it on Goldie’s stubborn attitude which he says did not create a room for reconciliation.
According to him, Goldie’s failure to produce his ring was a spit in his face, as against his hope of a good outcome of their relationship, ‘I have no hard feelings for Goldie…its such a shame that things turned out the way they did’, he added.
He however apologised to Nigerians for their perception about him being irrational and responsible for Goldie’s eviction, ‘If Nigerians say I’m part of the reason she was evicted from the BBA house. I want to use this opportunity to apologise to Nigerians’
